Newborn and Maternity

What to expect…

Maternity:

•Most of my sessions are done close to home, within 15-30 miles. There are many locations around here for sessions and I will be happy to suggest a spot if you need ideas. If you have a special location in mind, I don’t mind traveling outside the 15-30 miles, there may be an additional fee for distance traveled. Contact me and we can discuss the location and fee.

•Best times for scheduling photos sessions are mornings and evenings. Please email me to check on availability of days for scheduling.

•I will spend 60-90 minutes per session taking pictures to ensure that we get great shots. Children are welcome. If for any reason, we have unhappy campers or challenging weather we will reschedule the session for the next convenient time for both of us.

•I use natural lighting on-location for all sessions year-round and will do posed or candid portraiture per preference.

•I will provide you with an online gallery of high resolution images available for immediate download  2-3 weeks after the session and a print release. A print release will allow you to print the photos at your lab of choice. I will recommend a lab, but you are free to print them elsewhere. I do ask you respect my work and not crop or re-edit the photos in any way.

Newborn:

•Sessions take place in my home studio when baby is 7-10 days new.

•Newborn sessions can take anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on baby. This time allows for nursing, diaper changes, background setups, and helping baby get comfy and sleepy.

•I use natural lighting and studio lighting for newborn sessions.

•I welcome and encourage parents to add personal touches, such as special blankets, headbands, hats, outfits, props, etc. I also have lots of props to use as well!
